25.02.2010 Style Event was a success

Last night, I hosted a style evening at Nicky Clarke, Leeds and it was a huge success! For a wonderful crowd of people, Jo Pallan and the Nicky Clarke style team offered free consultations, brow threading and manicures whilst LK Bennett and Nars were there to tempt ladies with gorgeous heels and makeovers.

I displayed my vintage line, Marjery and Maud next to Freda's Fancies, Bedcrumb and Yum Yum Beads.

I also hosted a mini version of 'How to turn you wobble into a wiggle' - giving my top five tips on how to walk in high heels.

I recently took a trip to Benalmádena Pueblo, an Andaluz village set in the foothills of the mountains west of Malaga. The narrow white washed streets are full of authentic tapas bars and quirky boutiques. Relax with Rioja or a cold beer beneath the orange trees in the square by Santo Domingo chuch.

A refreshing and charming discovery in this part of town!

Look out for this new online boutique this year!

I don’t know about you but I have little time to trawl the shops these days plus the queues for the changing room (and then the till), turn what should be a fun shopping experience into a stressful nightmare so I do much of mine online.

You can imagine how pleased I was to discover that there’s a new Online Fashion Boutique to empty my bank account on!

Glam-net.com will launch early February offering key trends in stock for Spring/Summer 2010.

Styles are pretty and in vogue but also sophisticated – this is grown up glamour at its best.

Labels include Bandolera, Hotel Particulier, Not so serious and Tavan & Mitto; all of whom do not have wide distribution in the UK as yet. This complements Glam-net’s mission to increase customer choice by introducing new designer brands to the UK market.

The Sunshine Bakery is a new addition to the trendy Chapel Allerton area of Leeds, headed up by David Bennett, former Chef for Marco Pierre-White.

The bakery is small yet perfectly formed and reminiscent of a French Patisserie meets vintage boutique with pink and white flocked wall coverings and candy coloured displays.

You can expect hand-made tasty treats on a daily basis ranging from cute cupcakes and champagne truffles to whoopee pies and fresh soups.

My favourite cupcake is the Red Velvet, apprantly a huge hit with the fashionistas of Manhatten too. Yum!
